Local businesses volunteer at WHS Reality Store

The Wautoma High School Reality Store was held on May 14 to help students understand how to budget real-life situations. The reality store is held twice a year and allows students to select an occupation with a monthly gross income as well as family size and marital status. Depending on their fictional situations, the students had to travel to vendors to discuss how much their monthly rent/mortgage, utilities, insurance, credit card debt, day care, entertainment expenses, groceries, and pets would cost each month. Making a stop at the banking station with US Bank Branch Manager Kathy Mitchell and employee Melissa Bialk to help balance their checkbooks were Ashley Norem and Sandra Klamm.
