Waushara County accident report

The Waushara County accident reports recorded from the Waushara County Sheriff's Office are as follows:

•12/18/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 4:45 p.m. on County Road E, Town of Warren. Elisa Hieland Eichstedt, 24, Redgranite, was traveling southbound on County Road E when she failed to properly negotiate a cure and went off the road. Eichstedt attempted to regain control of the vehicle and over corrected causing the vehicle to enter the northbound lane, and then proceeded into the northbound ditch where the vehicle struck a tree. No injuries were reported. One citation was issued. 

•12/19/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 2:25 p.m. on County Road XX, Town of Aurora. Lucy Vang, 21, Berlin, was traveling southbound when her vehicle left the roadway to the left, struck a sign post, came back on the roadway and went off the roadway to the right. Vang claimed she was run off the road and struck by another vehicle, but there were no indications of a striking vehicle at the scene. No injuries were reported. 

•12/20/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 4:40 p.m. on Highway 73, Town of Oasis. James Burk, 22, Wautoma, was traveling southbound on Highway 73 when he said that he took his eyes off the road for a moment and drove onto the gravel shoulder. Burk then lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle entered the southbound ditch, rolled over multiple times coming to a halt in the southbound ditch facing northbound. No injuries were reported. One citation was issued. 

•12/21/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 2:47 p.m. on Highway 22, Village of Wild Rose. Grant Steffens, 29, Williston, VT, was attempting to pull into a parking lot of Blader’s Inn when he mistook the ditch as the driveway and damaged the rear bumper and tail light as he drove through the ditch coming to a rest in the parking lot. No injuries were reported.

•12/21/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 3:32 p.m. on Highway 21, Town of Richford. Jason Podoll, 18, Coloma, was traveling westbound on Highway 21 when he stated he fell asleep. Podoll hit the north shoulder on Highway 21 and as he overcorrected, he crossed the centerline entering the south ditch, and overturned and landing the vehicle on the roof. Possible injuries were reported. One citation was issued.

•12/22/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 12:47 a.m. on Highway 73, Town of Wautoma. Jolene Ehrfurth, 22, Almond, had just negotiated a curve and while entering a straight stretch of roadway stated that she lost control of the car, attempted to correct it, lost complete control, and rolled the vehicle over. Non-incapacitating injuries were reported. Two citations were issued.

•12/22/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 12:55 a.m. on 17th Drive, Town of Dakota. Samantha Metzer, 23, Neshkoro, was traveling southbound on 17th Road when she lost control on an ice patch, entered the west ditch and striking a tree. Non-incapacitating injuries were reported.

•12/22/15: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 8:50 p.m. on Highway 21, Town of Dakota. Taylor Peterson, 18, Wautoma, was traveling southbound on Highway 21 conducting a left turn to operate south on Highway 73 when she failed to yield the right of way to Evan Girdauskas, 23, Wautoma, which was eastbound on Highway 73. No injuries were reported. One citation was issued.

•12/27/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 12:40 a.m. on County Road F, Town of Marion. Paul Bandt, 22, Neshkoro, was traveling east on County Road F when he went off the road on the left shoulder and struck a mailbox. Bandt attempted to regain control and overcorrected and then entered a yard on Silver Oaks Lane where he ran over a bush, struck a tree, where the vehicle overturned. No injuries were reported. Two citations were issued.
