Pickup trucks collide on 22nd Avenue and State Road 21

On March 3 at about 11:17 a.m., the Waushara County Dispatch received a call about a serious crash on State Road 21 at 22nd Ave in the Town of Marion. Responding units found two pick up trucks that struck each other almost head on. A white Ford pickup driven by George Belfeuil, Redgranite, was traveling westbound on Highway 21 and crossed over the highway when his vehicle colllided with a GMC pickup driven by Perry Hickey, Wautoma. A passenger in the Hickey vehicle, Deborah Hickey was injured, along with both drivers. All three were transported by Waushara County EMS to Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah. Due to poor weather no medical helicopters could fly. The roadway was ice-covered at the time of the crash. The Waushara County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. The Wautoma Fire Department responded. All occupants were wearing seatbelts and the airbags did deploy.
