Waushara County Health Department offers flu shots

Influenza Vaccines are available from the Waushara County Health Department at the following locations.  No appointments are needed.  Their supply of the High Dose, also advertised as the “Senior Flu” for those 65 and older, is very limited; so, the Health Department cannot guarantee it will be available.

   Due to COVID, Waushara County Health Department is asking you to social distance, wear a mask, and have insurance information ready when registering.  This will help the process go smoother.

The following locations will be providing flu shots:

 

Plainfield Meal Site, on Monday, Oct. 19, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Plainfield Senior Center, 114 West Clark Street).

Redgranite Fire Depart-ment Tuesday Oct. 20, 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., (135 E. Bannerman Avenue).

Hancock Meal Site, Wednesday, Oct. 21, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., (Hancock Community Building, 420 Jefferson Street).

Coloma Meal Site, Wednesday, Oct. 21, 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., (Coloma Community Center, 155 Front Street).

Wild Rose Lions Club, Thursday, Oct. 22, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., (1100 South Main Street).

Saxeville Meal Site, Thursday, Oct. 22, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., (Saxeville Town Hall, W4022 Archer Ave, Saxeville).

The flu vaccine is also offered by appointment at the Waushara County Health Department at 230 West Park Street in Wautoma on the following dates:   

Oct. 28, 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Oct. 30, 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Medicare Part B and Medicaid pay for the flu shots.  Bring all the insurance cards you take to your physician’s office with you.
