Wild Rose Village Board extends police officer position deadline

The Wild Rose Village Board discussed applications received for open police officer positions during a Nov. 4 meeting.

The application deadline was extended, and John Eilers stated that he needed to speak to fellow trustees Jody Jansen and Steve Yeska further to decide where to go with the applications that were received.

In other business, a donation to Wild Rose Days from ThedaCare was approved by the Board. Tara Anderson of the Wild Rose Days Committee had spoken to the Board regarding the donation, as well as a matter regarding the committee’s bank account and insurance for the Wild Rose Days activities. It was stated that the committee should be under the Village, but the matter will be discussed further at the December meeting.

During the fire report it was mentioned that the fire district’s budget had been passed with a reduced dollar amount. As a candy cruise site being held at the fire station, some have said that it was the best site in the county because of the atmosphere that was created there.

Approval was given for the opening of a Red Mill checking account, with Tim Ganzel and Lindsey Inda serving as the signers.

Resolution 2020-5 regarding a fund transfer from/for 2019 was approved.

Also approved was the renewal of Oak Hill Cemetery CD.

 

An operator’s license for Connor Phillips was approved, as well as the payment of current bills.

The next regular Board meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2.
