Wild Rose School Board approves resolutions at May 12 meeting

The Wild Rose School Board approved some pertinent business pertaining to the facilities planning issue during a May 12 meeting.

After a presentation from involved parties, the board approved resolutions authorizing the issuance and sale of $17,900,000 Bond Anticipation Note, and also the issuance and establishing parameters for the sale of not to exceed $17,900,000 General Obligation Refunding Bonds.

The Board went on to approve a resolution authorizing entry into an intergovernmental cooperation agreement relating to the “Wisconsin Investment Series Cooperative” and authorizing participation in the investment programs of the fund.

Recognition was given to fourth grade teacher Sharon Yeska for being selected by the Association of Young Children at UW-Stevens Point to receive an Excellent in Teaching Award.

The formal approval of the graduation Class of 2022 was granted by the board.

A revision was made to the 2021-2022 school calendar, we will be releasing students at 1 p.m. on the last day of school, June 2, 2022.

A discussion on the current school year as it nears an end brought the news that COVID testing is still being conducted, 0 positive cases, and two students were currently out under quarantine.

Open enrollment applications were considered in closed session.

The next board meetings will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, June 9, and June 23.
