American Legion Auxiliary Unit 317 initiates new members

At the August meeting of The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 317 the Initiation Ceremony was conducted by the Unit President with several members in attendance participating.  The seven new members joined The American Legion Auxiliary during 2019 and 2020 were welcomed during the ceremony.

The ceremony explains the four pillars of Justice, Freedom, Democracy and Loyalty.  Each new member received the Auxiliary pin, flag, poppy and copies of various documents including information about The American Legion Auxiliary programs.

New members parti-cipating in the ceremony were Patricia Lehman, Savana Hiltz, Jane Wilcox and Haylee Moore.  Joan Holtz, Alice and Kennedy Miller were not present at the meeting.

Wolman-Minskey Amer-ican Legion Auxiliary Unit 317 welcomes members to their organization. Their mission is to support and advocate for veterans and their families, along with educating youth and community through programs at the schools and community service.

They meet the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the WWII building in Wautoma.  Unit 317 welcomes you to visit their meetings and see first-hand what the organization is about.
