At Your PAC

On April 28, over 800 elementary students from area school districts will be attending a special performance of the national tour of “The Lightning Thief,” presented by Theatreworks USA, at the McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center, Wautoma. This presentation is part of our educational outreach opportunities that involve almost 2,000 area students each season.

Tickets are going fast for “Simply Sinatra” starring Steve Lippia and His Big Band coming on Saturday, May 7 at 3 p.m.

In this musical salute Lippia interprets some of the most well known and beloved Frank Sinatra hits.

Lippia’s singing reveals a man who truly understands a lyric, in a deeply personal way. He brings to life the music and lyrics of some of the greats such as: Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Sammy Cahn, Jimmy Van Heusen, Rodgers and Hart, and Stephen Sondheim.

The performance is being sponsored by Silvercryst Supper Club, Lund’s Northwoods Auto, Retro Radio – The Bug, Culvers Restaurant, Linda & Tim Freudenthal, Weiland Refrigerated & Trucking, and Brian & Patrick Getchius at Thrivent Financial.

It is not too soon for planning your summer family activities. Your PAC will again be sponsoring a summer children’s theatre in cooperation with Prairie Fire Theatre.  This year’s production will be “Robin Hood”, with auditions for up to 80 local youth ages 7-18 being held on June 13 at 12:30 p.m. in the PAC, and performances on June 17 and 18.
