On Apr. 9 the Patterson Memorial Library in Wild Rose hosted a very successful Bluebird nesting house program hosted by Tom Whalley, former President of the Wisconsin Bluebird Association.
Seventeen adults and six children attended, with two Cub Scouts from Pack 3650 and their leader among the participants. “Eighteen nesting pairs of Bluebirds have the opportunity to lay eggs and raise their chicks in some very nice houses, thanks to Tom,” said Kent Barnard, Library Director. “It was a great event and a lot of fun!”
Plans are underway for another event next Spring before the Bluebirds return to Waushara County. The Patterson Memorial Library is just one block east of Hwy. 22 in Wild Rose at 500 Division St.
