Plainfield Christmas Parade a success

Dear Editor,

Were you in Plainfield on Dec. 18 at 6 p.m.? There were NO parking spots. There were sidewalks and yards full of excited people, waiting for the first annual Christmas Parade. Vehicles of all kinds were all beautifully decorated. Have you ever seen a semi or tractor covered with Christmas lights? Wow, what a parade!

Thanks to all who planned it and those who participated. It really brought the Christmas spirit to life. We’ve had so many cancellations and bad times in our world, we needed a “lift” and we had it. Those of us who have been housebound forever really enjoyed it.

We hope you had a Merry Christmas and that 2021 will be much better in all ways.
