The Wild Rose Community Band asks you to meet them at the fair

Subhead
A Sunday afternoon, shade, something cold from the 4-H Food Stand and your favorite community band– what could be better? The Wild Rose Community Band will again perform at the Waushara County Fair on Sunday, Aug. 20, at 2 p.m. It promises to be a “screaming” good time with a playlist of patriotic tunes, historic marches, and current favorites. For those of you sitting on the sidelines, it is a great opportunity to “audition” if you have played an instrument in the past and are thinking of getting back into it. The band welcomes new musicians of all ages and abilities. Some of the musicians you will hear on Sunday approached members after their performance at the county fair and you are invited to do the same. The Wild Rose Community Band is composed of musicians of all abilities and ages ranging from 11 to 90 years young. Although they are musicians who have banded together to have fun under the moniker “The Wild Rose Community Band”, the band is composed of members from Wild Rose, Wautoma, Waupaca, Pine River, Oxford, Hancock, Coloma, Westfield, and Amherst. The band continues to encourage musicians from Wild Rose and surrounding communities to join us as they “band together”, keeping in mind the number one rule: “Have fun”. The band rehearses in facilities provided by the Wild Rose Public School District and is financially supported by the generous donations of fans at free performances. “What could be better?” Next year– be with the band as they perform at the Waushara County Fair. See you at the Fair.
