St. John’s Picnic to be held Sunday, Aug. 20

St. John’s Catholic Church in Princeton is where you will want to be for the Church Picnic. You don’t even have to wait for Sunday to join the fun, bidding has already begun on the Online Auction. More items have been added since last week like a Full Day Guided Fishing Trip for two anywhere in the U.S., Moose Inn $50 gift card, two beautiful 3D Hanging Wall Sculptures of Mary and Jesus and a gorgeous hand crafted cedar dog bed (the cedar even came from St. John’s). Sign up now for the Cornhole Tournament to ensure your spot. There is a limit of 32 teams. This is a double elimination tourney with a cash payout of $300 to the1st place team and $150 to the 2nd. If there is a full roster 3rd and 4th place will be paid as well. A pork chop dinner with kraut, mashed potatoes/gravy, roasted corn, pickle and homemade desserts will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. After the 2 p.m. contest and pie auction winners of the online auction, basket raffle, 50/50 raffle and Cornhole Tournament will be announced. The Large Raffle winners will be drawn and announced starting at 3 p.m. This year’s Grand Prize is $5000 and 2nd prize is $1000 followed by 85 more prizes totaling over $10,000 in value.
