Sex Trafficking presentation to be held at Parkside School
The Sex Trafficking presentation titled Staying Informed will be held at the Parkside School Library on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. There will be light snacks and refreshments at 5:30 p.m. Wautoma Area School District staff member Jonelle Erickson will be leading the presentation.
Sex trafficking is a disturbing epidemic that affects the world, country, and local communities. Becoming educated and informing others are ways everyone can be involved with prevention. As educators, family members, and community members, it is critical that people know what’s happening in our culture and the warning signs of victimization. Sex trafficking will be defined and misconceptions discussed. Factors that create demand will be addressed. Practical suggestions for prevention will be shared.
Those interested must RSVP by Tuesday, Feb. 25 by completing the following form https://forms.gle/puAVz9RUQqjvDgNR7 or contacting A+ Family Engagement Coordinator Bruce Enck at firstname.lastname@example.org. This event is open to the public.
