Redgranite Labor Day Festival offers family fun Sept. 1-4

Each year Redgranite hosts one of the best and longest running Labor Day festivals in the State of Wisconsin. The annual four day festival will run September 1-4 and is loaded with fun events, great food and live music geared around our 2023 theme “REDGRANITE – We Rock”. Giving a nod to the men that mined the quarry providing Red Granite pavers for roads throughout the Midwest, many who are ancestors of the people that reside in the Redgranite area today. The quarry, which is steeped in tradition is honored every Labor Day weekend on Sunday night as they light up the sky above it with a spectacular display of fireworks to music. The Redgranite Lions will kick things off Friday evening with Glow Bingo at the Redgranite Lions Hall. Doors open at 5 pm, the first game is at 7 pm. On Saturday there is something for everyone of all ages. Vendor Art & Craft Fair (call 920-410-8467), Horseshoe Doubles Tournament, Friends Of The Library Book Sale and Community Market, Walk the Waush Free 5K Walk/Run, City Wide Rummage Sales all weekend, great food and refreshments, live music and of course KidzRok in RedRock – a fun filled event in Willow Creek Park for kids featuring pony rides, petting zoo, inflatables, clowns, face painting, balloon magic, coloring contest, Redgranite Fire Dept. Bike Raffle, tons of fun games where you can win really cool prizes, kids raffle where you can purchase chances to win a TV, tablet, toys and more cool stuff. You’ll know you started your weekend off right when you cap your day off at Willow Creek Park under the tent 7-11 pm with Road Trip (Rain or Shine). One of Wisconsin’s favorite bands. Bar and Food Stand opens at 6 p.m. Don’t forget to purchase your 2023 Button available in local businesses. Stop down to Veterans Memorial Park throughout Labor Day Weekend to see if your button is a winner. All winners need to claim their prize by Monday, Sept. 4 at 2 pm. On Sunday kick back and relax in Redgranite’s Veterans Memorial Park and enjoy the Vendor Art & Craft Fair, food and refreshments, raffles, and music by The Del Rays from 1-5 p.m. Friends Of The Library Book Sale starts at 8 a.m., and City Wide Rummage Sales run throughout the day. Stick around for the fireworks over the Quarry to Music at Dusk. While waiting for the fireworks enjoy the great food and fun at Sunshine Coffee, cafes, pizzaria Irish Pub, bars and bowling alley. Redgranite is home to some of the best food and hospitality around. On Monday get set for the community’s signature event, the Labor Day Parade. It brings people to Main Street in Redgranite and is steeped in tradition. Generations of people will line the streets to enjoy the classic Labor Day Parade. There is still time to enter.
