REACH Waushara and Waushara Run For Hope are sponsoring a Community Mental Health Night on Monday, Feb. 27. This event will be a QPR Gatekeeper training. What is QPR, you ask? QPR stands for Q-Question, P-Persuade, R-Refer, this training is to help recognize a crises and warning signs that someone may be contemplating suicide and refer them to the right resources. This training is not meant to be a form of counseling or treatment, but to be able to offer hope through positive action.
The event will be free and held at the Waushara County Courthouse, Demo Room from 5-7:30 p.m. Registration is required as space can be limited. The event will have a light meal provided and the training will begin at 5:30 p.m.
