Oakwood Campsites presents donation to Saxeville Fire Department

On Aug. 17th - The new owner of Oakwood Campsites in Wild Rose, Kent Knaus and Oakwood’s General Manager Michelle Dobraff presented Saxeville Fire Chief Alex Peterson with a donation check in the amount of $1861.  New owner, Kent Knaus stated that the Oakwood’s previous owners Jamie and Richard Paulsen should be given a big thank you for setting up the “Helping Neighbors - Helping the Community Vendor Event” fundraiser which took place on Aug. 5th, Vendors each donated items for the basket raffle along with 50/50 drawings.  In addition to the money raised from the event, owner Kent Kraus donated $861.  He also wants to thank the campers and the local community for making this fundraiser a success.  Kent said he would like to make this fundraiser a yearly event.  When asked what this money will go towards, Fire Chief Peterson said this donation will go towards equipment for the EMS Operations.
