Neshkoro experiences fire on Main Street

On Aug. 1 at 7:10 am, the Neshkoro Fire Dept. received a call that there was a home on 204 Main Street in Neshkoro that was fully involved in a fire with visible smoke and flames. The front of the home received the most damage. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. Those within the home—two adults and a child—escaped the fire unharmed. The fire was contained within an hour. The Neshkoro, Wautoma, Princeton, and Redgranite Fire departments were on the scene with the Marquette County Sheriff’s departments, Neshkoro police, and Wau-shara County EMS. American Red Cross of Wisconsin volunteers provided care, immediate needs, and emergency aid for temporary lodging to the family displaced by the fire. They will continue to work with this family on these next steps toward their recovery.
