Missing child located in Green Lake County

At 2:34 a.m. on Aug. 29 the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center received a 911 call stating a two and a half year old female was missing from a campsite at Hattie Sherwood Campground. The Green Lake Police Department and the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. A search was initiated in the surrounding area, utilizing the Green Lake County Drone and K9 teams. The Green Lake/Brooklyn Fire Department was deployed to assist with the search as well. The child was safely located sleeping on a sidewalk approximately 250 yards from the campsite with the help of the infrared vision on the drone. The child was returned to the care of her parents.
