John Jenks elected Grand High Priest for Royal Arch Masons of Wisconsin

With the rap of the gavel, the 170th Grand Convocation of Royal Arch Masons of Wisconsin was convened on schedule on Saturday, May 2, 2020.  As with most things in our lives these days, the Grand Convocation was not able to be held in usual fashion.  Instead, everyone attended the meeting in virtual form by staying home and participating through their computer.

Due to ill health, Wisconsin’s current Grand High Priest was unable to preside over this year’s Grand Convocation.  As next in line, Grand King John Jenks conducted most of the day’s proceedings.  The virtual meeting registered 85 Royal Arch Masons from Wisconsin and across the nation.

Upon completion of an online election later in the meeting, John Jenks was elected to serve as Grand High Priest for Royal Arch Masons of Wisconsin for the 2020-21 Capitular year.  This is a great honor not only for John, but also for all Companions of Wautoma Chapter #107 Royal Arch Masons.

In the coming year, Wautoma will be well represented on the slate of Grand Officers for Royal Arch Masons of Wisconsin.  Keith Wohlfert will advance to serve as Grand Royal Arch Captain; Michael Hille was appointed as Grand Master of the First Veil; Tom Williamson will serve as Grand Sentinel.

In his new role as Grand High Priest, Most Excellent Companion John already has his Grand Officers busy with the business at hand.  That work will continue once Masons across Wisconsin are again permitted to meet in the usual fashion.  Indeed, that’s a day we can all look forward to with great anticipation and high expectations.
