Hancock/Coloma Fire Department present new equipment from FEMA Grant

Subhead
Nate Sigourney, Fire Chief, and Erik Johnston, Assistant Chief of the Hancock/Coloma Fire Departments, presented their newest equipment acquired by a FEMA grant approval. The department received 24 brand new self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBAs) masks and 48 air bottle tanks that will enhance the department’s ability to fight fires and deal with hazardous situations. To date in 2023 Coloma has responded to 111 calls while Hancock has responded to 167. The majority of calls are medical emergencies within the district. Their motto is “Two Stations One Cause” in service to the community. If you are over 18 and interested in getting involved in your community, both stations provide training for firefighting and EMR.
