Go on an Italian adventure this October

The Waushara Wautoma Senior Center is pleased to offer a culinary Italy from Sorrento to Rome tour from Oct. 11-23, 2020 by Mayflower Tours.

Indulge in cultural culinary experiences sure to get your mouth watering with a hands-on pizza making and pasta and pastry-making classes. Those attending this trip will enjoy a gelato-making demonstration and Limoncello tasting. Taste fresh mozzarella cheese and learn how it’s produced. You will also have a chance to sample local vintages during a wine tasting, at a local vineyard. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit an olive mill, learn how olive oil is made, and try a sample.

You’ll visit the picturesque town of Sorrento, plus see Mt. Vesuvius and the archaeological excavations of Pompeii. You can take in the breathtaking beauty of the island of Capri, visit the town of Amalfi, travel along the scenic Amalfi coast, and explore the Greek temples of Paestum.

Included is a guided tour of the Coliseum and Forum in Rome, and you will see the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica during the excursion to Vatican City. Airport transfers on tour dates when air is provided by Mayflower Cruises & Tours. There will be 17 Meals (11 breakfasts, two lunches, and four dinners), plus lots of tastings. There is a cost per person that includes airfare from Chicago.
