Final Coloma Pie Social Aug. 18 - Rummage items still being accepted at Coloma White Rummage Church

The third and final Coloma pie and ice cream social of the summer will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18.

The event, which is sponsored by the Coloma United Methodist Church, will be held at the Coloma Community Center.

A popular repeat item will be the homemade Cheesy Potato Soup by Sue Burby. Traditional menu items include: BBQ’s, hot dogs, pickles, chips, pies, ice cream and other desserts. Plans are underway for a mini bake sale.

Proceeds will go to replacing the red outdoor front steps carpeting which has become frayed.

Donated rummage items will continue to be accepted from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and 9:30-11 a.m. Saturdays at the White Rummage Church, 403 Westfield Road in Coloma.

The church building is owned by the Coloma Calvary UMC.

Needed are adult, (also, larger and plus sizes) especially men’s, women, children and infant clothing, house ware items, toys, stuffed animals, games and much more. Not accepted are furniture, electronics and television sets. Most items are sold for 50-cents.

A 50-cents BOGO sale - (Buy One, Get One free) - of children’s clothing will be held.

The rummage sales are held from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend. Volunteers from other parishes have been assisting with the rummage sorting and organizing of items. Funds are needed for UMC building repairs.
