Wautoma Hornets impress with 39-6 triumph over Clintonville Truckers

While sports fans were still filing in to make their way to the bleachers and watch Friday night football, the Wautoma Hornets had already made their first touchdown of the night and were celebrating. Right from the first whistle the players were ready to defend their home turf during the Sept. 15 game. Hornet, Joseph Ascher wasted no time to secure his team their first touchdown. He remained untouchable as he made his way down the field with ease. Ascher scored again minutes later with a little more fight from the Clintonville Truckers, but he made it to the end zone before they could manage to stop him. With just one minute and forty-five seconds left in the first quarter, Ascher completes yet another touchdown. This left the Truckers with zero points in the first quarter, while the Hornets swarmed into the second quarter with twenty-one points. The Truckers were feeling the heat and their defense became stronger in the second quarter, but the Hornets managed another touchdown before the clock ran out. Before half time, The Wautoma Hornets secured twenty-seven points and the Truckers remained with zero points. Overall, The Hornets maintained their spot in the lead and ended the game with a thirty-nine to six point victory against the Clintonville Truckers.
