Tri-County 4th graders visit Caribou Bay Retreat

The Tri-County 4th graders visited the Caribou Bay Retreat, rural Coloma, at the end May, where they enjoyed their picnic lunch in the event center. After lunch, owners Mona and Jack Zelienka took the students on a walk on the Wedde Creek Segment of the Ice Age Trail, gave a presentation where students learned about the Ice Age period and got to view the prehistoric Caribou Horn Shed that was found on the property in 1985, and entertained students with recreational yard games on the lawn of the guest house.
