Wildcat Nick Wilbert held off a fourth inning Port Edwards pitch and then reached base on a single into center field during April 30 baseball action.

Wild Rose Wildcats defeat Port Edwards 14-4

    The Wild Rose Wildcats clobbered the Pot Edwards Blackhawks 14-4 in five innings of baseball play on April 30.     Port Edwards mustered a walk and a sacrifice in the first inning of the game while Wild Rose got a double out of Thomas Dopp, and walks issued to 2 of his teammates.     Kaliprath hit a single in the second for the visitors, while a teammate reached base on a fielder’s choice. The hosts had 2 walks and a hit by a pitch, but still no score.     The third inning saw Port Edwards get a single out of Gibbs, with a teammate getting walked. Wild Rose on the other hand, finally put 4 runs on the board with Jaylon Zacharias, Lucas Hackney, Dillon Martin, and Tanner Deist each getting hits.  Three Wildcats teammates got on base with walks, while another reached on a fielder’s choice.
