Members of the Wautoma High School Track and Field Team who competed at the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 2 Track & Field Finals at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse on May 31 and June 1 included: (back row): Max Bennett, Ryan Lois, Matt Maciaga, Maddy Weisensel, Hattie Bray and Kiara Wedell; (front row): Cole Hinz, Jaina Koerner, relay alternate, Dinah Schmidt, relay alternate, Carly Burt, Mackenzie Thom, Jose Paredes, relay alternate; and Jordan Daye, relay alternate.

WHS athletes compete at WIAA State Track & Field Finals

Thirteen members of the Wautoma High School Track & Field Team traveled to the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse to compete in the Wisconsin Athletic Association Division 2 Track & Field State Finals on May 31 and June 1.

The athletes who competed at the state meet, included: Max Bennett, 100, 200, 4x100; Ryan Lois, 4x100; Matt Maciaga, Long Jump, 4 x 100; Maddy Weisensel, High Jump, 300 Hurdles, 4x200 Relay; Hattie Bray, 4x200 Relay; Kiara Wedell, shot put; Cole Hinz, 4x100 Relay; Jaina Koerner, relay alternate; Dinah Schmidt, relay alternate; Carly Burt, 200, 4x200 Relay, Mackenzie Thom, triple jump, 4x200 Relay; Jose Paredes, relay alternate; and Jordan Daye, relay alternate.

Of those who competed, Bennett took first place in the 100 Meter Dash; Weisensel, second place in the high jump and sixth in the qualified 300 Meter Hurdles; Maciaga, seventh place in the long jump; Wedell second place in the shot put. The boys 4x100 and girls 4x200 Relay Teams both finished in seventh place.
