Westfield Lady Pioneers finish ahead of the Mauston Lady Golden Eagles

The Westfield Lady Pioneers took on the Mauston Lady Golden Eagles on Feb. 16. The Lady Eagles were no match for the Lady Pioneers, who claimed an 82-16 victory.

The Lady Pioneers hit the first score within 3 minutes of action. Throughout the game they continued to dominate the Golden Eagles with three pointers and drives. The Lady Eagles did their best in defense but were put to the test with the Lady Pioneers.  At 11:19 in the first period the, Lady Pioneers had two fouls with a score of 18-2 and

were even more energized.

 

With 4:24 left in the first half, the score continued to widen at 38-6. Going into halftime, the score was 53-6 with Lady Pioneer Junior Carly Drew as the highest scorer at 16 points followed by Senior Brandi Lentz with 14. Highest scorers for the Lady Golden Eagles was between Freshman Breanna Heller and Sophomore Kylie Heller at three each.

  At the 11:34 point in the second half, Lady Pioneer Carly Drew pulled ahead with 24 points and the Lady Eagles just could not seem to get most shots beyond the rim.

 

The game ended at 82-16 with top Lady Pioneer scorers Junior Carly Drew with 26, Senior Brandi Lentz at 21 points, and Senior Sidney Hoffa with 10 points.
