Wautoma/Wild Rose Harriers compete at Cam Rock Invitational
Because of a weather related cancellation of a cross country invitational at Mosinee, the Wautoma/Wild Rose Cross Country teams participated Aug. 30 in the 18 school Cam Rock Invitational, held in Cambridge.
The Wautoma/Wild Rose Girls squad placed ninth out of 18 schools. East Troy won the met with 31 points followed by Marshall with 112, Deerfield/Cambirdge 125, Edgerton 148, Clinton 150, Madison East 151, Madison Edgewood 152, Poynette 179, and the Hornet/Wildcats 196.
MacKenzie Caves led the Hornet/Wildcats with a 27th place finish out of 90 runners. Kiana Julian placed 32nd, Delaney Salm 33rd, Carley Burt 58th, Amber Babcock 62nd, and Bailey Rheinheimer 68th. The Junior Varisty squad finished fifth out of 18 schools led by Lily Erdman’s 20th place finish out of 87 runners. Megan Miller finished 21st, Kinsey Reynolds-Eilers 23rd, Kaitlyn Brooks 42nd, Marcel Buss 44th, Megan Kelly 51st, Abby Peterman 66th, and Emma Chase 69th.
The Hornet/Wildcat Boys placed fifth out of 18 schools. East Troy won the team title with 35 points followed by Edgewood with 76, Deerfield/Cambridge 103, Madison East 108, and Wautoma/Wild Rose 124.
Kordell Woyak paced the Hornet/Wildcats with a 15th place finish out of 108 runners. Lance Erdman placed 22nd, Aiden Doherty 28th, Creedon Abraham 29th, Hayden Schwartzman 30th, Ashton Schwartzman 41st, and Caleb Williams 43rd.
In the Junior Varsity race the Hornet/Wildcat Boys placed third out of 18 schools. Mathew Kapral finished 5th out of 112 runners with Cavan Williams 14th, Joey Button 20th, Corbin Francisco 22nd, Ethan Sullivan 23rd, Garrik Kjentvent 27th, Jordan Daye 32nd, Dylan Dobraff 37th, James Barbarich 52nd, Kane Cronkrite 53rd, Chritian McGhee 1stt, Ashton Abraham 82nd, and Connor Ennis 100th.
The next action for the Wautoma/Wild Rose Harriers will be Friday, Sept. 7, at the Mayville Mike Hurlburt Invitational.
