Five area volleyball teams advance to WIAA Sectionals

Five of the surrounding schools will be represented at the first round of Volleyball Sectionals for the WIAA Tournament.

Wautoma played Ripon on Oct. 16, and the winning team will be playing either Kiel or Xavier on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.

Wild Rose played Newman Catholic on Oct. 16, and the winner will be playing either Loyal or Assumption on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.

Almond-Bancroft played Columbus Catholic on Oct. 16. The team that wins that game will move on to play either Edgar or Wisconsin Valley Lutheran on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.

The Tri-County Lady Penguins played Prentice on Oct. 16, and the winning team will play either Rib Lake or Northland Lutheran on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.

Last but not least, the Westfield Lady Pioneers played Laconia on Oct. 16, and the winning team will play either Marshall or Horicon Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.
