Almond-Bancroft Football team crushes Rio Aug. 24

Almond-Bancroft’s Varsity Football team competed against Rio in a home game on Aug. 24, resulting in a big win for Almond-Bancroft with a final score of 44-6.

During the first quarter, Almond-Bancroft’s Jackson Beggs ran 9-yards for a touchdown with a two-point conversion run. Beggs ran another 7-yards only minutes later to score an additional touchdown, making the score Almond-Bancroft 14 and Rio 0.

Beggs ran 5-yards for a touchdown with a two-point conversion run to Noah Kollock. Only a few minutes later, Rio’s player Nick Larson ran 15-yards for a touchdown with a no good two-point conversion run by Teagan Prochnow. That knocked some steam into Almond-Bancroft, because Zach Bunders ran 7-yards for a touchdown with a good two-point conversion pass to Noah Kollock only minutes later.

The third quarter resulted in one touchdown by Noah Kollock, who ran 34-yards for the touchdown with a good two-point conversion from Elijah Kollock.

Finally, in the fourth quarter Beggs ran a short 3-yards for a touchdown.

The next Almond-Bancroft Varsity Football game will be in Wild Rose on Aug. 31 at 7 p.m.
