McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center auditions for Sleeping Beauty June 11-16

McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center in Wautoma will be presenting an opportunity for area youth ages 7-18 to participate in the Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre original musical production of “Sleeping Beauty”, with script and original music by Megan K. Pence and Daniel L. Stock. Auditions and rehearsals will be held the week of June 11 through 16, with performances on June 15 at 7 pm and June 16 at 1 pm. Registration and auditions will be held Monday, June 11 at 12:30 pm at the McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center. Up to 74 local young people are needed to play the roles of Rose, Mallory, Colin, Eugene, Becki, Gwen, Julia, Anna, and the rest of the Movie Stars; The Director, Assistant Director, Producer, Cameraman, Assistant Cam-eraman, Make-Up Girl, Soundman, Dance Coach, Sheep Wrangler, Coffee Girl, Chauncy, Chancy, Chintzy, The Reporter, The Henchmen, and The Sheep. Two professional actor/directors from Prairie Fire will direct the production and play the roles of the bumbling Hypnotist and The Queen Diva of all Stage Mothers.     There are no fees for youth to be involved in the production. The show is sponsored by Dawn & Dave Peterson, Ideal Accounting, Koeppl Law Offices, S.C., and Wautoma Kiwanis Club. The cast will rehearse Monday through Friday afternoons the week of June 11.
