RITA JUNE BERTZYK
Rita June (Seaman) Bertzyk, age 79, of Wautoma, went to the Lord on July 5, 2019. She was born on Aug. 30, 1939 in Berlin, to Carl and Joanne Seaman. Rita grew up in Berlin. She married the love of her life Dick Bertzyk on July 21, 1962. Together they enjoyed their home in Wautoma for 51 years.
Rita loved gardening, fishing, and feeding her birds. Most important to her was taking care of her family. She always put the family first before herself, with cooking, baking, and making sure everyone was comfortable. She shared the fruits of her labor from the garden with family and friends. Mom was always there for us to support us in all our band or sport activities. Rita worked at Sand Knit in Berlin until she became a full time homemaker. Later, she was a kitchen cook for the Wautoma School District.
