Norman H. Strehlow, age 73, passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 24. He was born on May 23, 1945, the son of the late Harold and Augusta (Manske) Strehlow. He worked on the family farm in rural Poy Sippi and drove milk truck while attending Wild Rose High School. On Sept. 25, 1965, Norm married Janet Bowen in Auroraville. He lived on a chicken farm in Shiocton for several years. In 1975 he moved to Minnesota and did farm drainage and drove truck. He returning to Poy Sippi in 1990 and continued as a truck driver for several companies. Norm was an active member of First Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi where he served on several committees. Throughout his life he was a hardworking man who never seemed to slow down. He was always improving or fixing something, doing yard work, or just being busy. He never hesitated to help out a neighbor, friend, or family member. Norm is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janet; two sons, Dennis (Ayako), Pine River, and Don (Brenda), Weyauwega; a daughter, Dani (Dwight) Hoy, Waseca, MN; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, six sisters, Betty Pollex, Oshkosh; Beverly (David) Yonke, Waupaca; May (Roger) Borchert, Aitkin, MN; Gloria Rieckmann, Appleton; Nora Krueger, Pine River, and Marcy (John) Butt, Mesa, AZ, a brother, Jerry (Sue), Poy Sippi; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Norm was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew, and two brothers-in-laws. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4 at 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, W2314 Prospect St., Poy Sippi. Pastor Rick Engen will officiate. Burial will be in Brushville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established.
