Elizabeth “Ann” Woldt, age 72, of Mt. Morris, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 4:02 a.m. at ThedaCare Hospital in Berlin.


Ann was born on Feb. 7, 1947 in Park Ridge, IL, to Thomas O. Megan and Laura M. Sheffield. She married Ralph J. Woldt on June 1, 1968 in Park ridge, IL

Ann earned a liberal arts degree at Carthage College, Kenosha, majoring in English and Education. She worked in the Oshkosh Public Library, was chair of Milwaukee League of Women Voters, and worked for Advocacy of Disabled Persons in George and Wisconsin. She lived with multiple sclerosis for 38 years, but remained strong and active. She loved her cats and built and designed her own cat village of miniature houses and wrote a saga, identifying each cat owner and residence.

Ann is survived by her husband, Ralph; brother, John Mehan of Martin, TN.

Ann was proceeded in death by her parents, Thomas and Laura; brother, Rev. James Mehan.
