Music in the Park had a wet start to the season on July 9, with thunder and lightning painting the scene at Bird Creek Park. This four year tradition was started by the Waushara Area Chamber of Commerce, and has been a hit ever since.

Hurricane Express rocked through the questionable weather, with thunder adding an extra boom to their show. The band has been playing together since the 70’s, with a number of original songs, along with covers of popular songs. One of their songs was actually featured on the Netflix original show “Stranger Things”.

The Waushara Argus and American Family Insurance sponsored the show. Little Sprouts also showed up with food for purchase.

Members of the community were able to social distance or watch from their cars to enjoy the show. WACC supplied hand sanitizer to ensure a safe, but fun time.
