Poy Sippi Public Library to hold Libraries Rock program
Summer fun is just beginning at the Poy Sippi Public Library. “Libraries Rock” is a fun mixture of music, movies, and science. The 10:30 am Monday morning programs start on June 18 with “The World of Rocks” and rock painting with Heidi Hensel-Buntrock, UW-Extension 4-H. Want to know more about geos, crystals, and rock polishing? Monday, June 25 Paul Sattler will demonstrate rock cracking and polishing. Plus, you get to take home a crystal to “grow.” Monday, July 2, everyone will sit back and relax with a bag of popcorn and the movie “Sing.” July 9 is Mexican Music Day with an authentic Mariachi band. Come early and make a castanet or maraca. On July 16, Kristi Timmerman will help you make your own, special stepping stone. To end the summer, the library will be having another party in Poy Sippi Park. At 6 pm, Bill Kehl will present his program “Earth, Music...Magic.” Bug Tussel Wireless will be sponsoring this program. The 1st Lutheran Endowment Fund will be sponsoring the other summer library programs. Poy Sippi Library is located at W2251 Commercial Street, Poy Sippi.
