Learn to make suet blocks for your feathered friends

On Thursday, Jan. 30 at 4 p.m., the Patterson Memorial Library is hosting the UWEX 4H program titled “Suet Making for Our Feathered Friends”. This is a program for all ages, taught by Heidi Hensel-Buntrock.

“It’s so important to provide suet for birds in the winter, [because] the fat helps them stay warm and the seed helps provide them with energy,” said Hensel-Buntock. “With the harsh winter upon us now, the birds have a hard time finding all they need to stay alive. We have an easy recipe that kids and older folks alike will love making, and the birds love eating.”

This program will be held at 4 p.m. on Jan. 30 in the Wild Rose Community Center attached to the Patterson Memorial Library. The library is located at 500 Division St, just one block east of Hwy 22 in Wild Rose.
