Kids learn the science behind color chromatography

The Poy Sippi Library Summer Reading Program kids learned the science behind color chromatography, which is the science of the separation of the components of color. By using a special filter paper, each person drew colored disks on the filter. They then added a few drops of liquid to the center, the colors would spread across the paper, showing the composition or pigments of that color. Black was the most interesting.
