Jerry Apps to hold book talk and signing at Patterson Library

Local author Jerry Apps will be at the Patterson Memorial Library in Wild Rose on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. for a book talk on his new book, Simple Things: Lessons from the family farm.

Apps has published over 50 books, many about his time growing up on the Apps family farm near Wild Rose. “When you write about what you know, it’s easier,” said Apps. “It’s also fun to remember the ‘good old days’ – although life was tougher – it made us tougher, too.”

The Wild Rose Community Center will open at 6 p.m. for meeting friends and neighbors and for a taste of apple cider and cookies. Apps will talk about his book at 6:30 p.m., then about 7 p.m. will sign books at the Patterson Memorial Library next door. The Friends of the Patterson Memorial Library will have the books for a discount from the cover price.

Be sure to join your friends and neighbors for this special Jerry Apps book talk/signing event, Tuesday, Nov. 13 beginning at 6 p.m. for cider and cookies, 6:30 p.m. for the book talk, and 7 p.m. for the book signing at the Patterson Memorial Library in Wild Rose, located at 500 Division St., just one block east of Hwy 22 (Main St).
