Flu Clinic to be held at Redgranite municipal building on October 21

During the Sept. 17 Red-granite Village Board meeting, board members approved use of the municipal building’s meeting room for the annual flu clinic, administered by the Waushara County Health Department. The date for the flu shots and pneumonia shots, which are open to the public, is Monday, Oct. 21, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

“Due to a possible delay in receiving the vaccine supply this year,” stated Waushara County Health Department RN Judy Burton, who attended the board meeting, “the alternate date is Monday, Oct. 28, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.”  Burton noted that they will bill Medicare, Medicaid, or take payments for the service.

MSA Professionals Project Engineer Dan Rammer was unable to attend the meeting, but e-mailed an update about the status of street projects. In a Sept. 11 e-mail, Rammer stated, “Egbert plans to do the asphalt patching on the hydrant project in the next week or two and CenturyLink plans to have the relocation complete along Wisconsin Street by September 20, so Egbert can begin installing storm sewer after that.” In a Sept. 17 e-mail, Rammer stated, “CenturyLink is still in the process of completing the relocation of their utilities along Wisconsin Street, but that there is still plenty of time to complete this project and get paving done this year.”

Police Chief Kyle Tarr told board members that Redgranite Trick or Treating will be held on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

In other business, the board approved:

•Hiring Baker Tilly to complete the TID #2 second audit, per state statutes, at a cost of $3,500 to $6,500.

•An agreement with CAP Services to administer the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) revolving loan fund.

•Payment to board members for Ordinance Committee meetings attended to review changes to village ordinances through Municide, at the normal committee stipend of $10 per meeting, retroactive to the first meeting, which was held in June.

•A request by the Waushara County Economic Development Committee to meet in the village hall meeting room on Tuesday, October 8 at 1:30 p.m.

•An operator’s license for Joseph Grim (Rick’s Irish Pub).

The next regular Redgranite Village Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. at the municipal building.
