Waushara County Health Department offers Flu Shots around County
Influenza Vaccines are available from the Waushara County Health Department at the following locations. No appointments are needed. The High Dose, also advertised as the Senior Flu for those 65 and older, is delayed in shipment. Call Health Department at 920-787-6590 to inquire status of High Dose vaccine.
Redgranite Municipal Hall, 161 Deerborn Street, on Monday, Oct. 21 at 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Plainfield Meal Site, 114 West Clark Street, on Wednesday, Oct. 23 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Hancock Meal Site, 420 Jefferson Street, on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Coloma Meal Site, 155 Front Street, on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Wild Rose Lions Club, 1100 South Main Street, on Friday, Oct. 25 at 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Saxeville Meal Site, W4022 Archer Ave, on Monday, Oct. 28 at 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Poy Sippi Meal Site, W2306 Prospect, on Monday, Oct. 28 at 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The Health Department will only be offering pneumonia shots at the Community Fair at the Wautoma Senior Center on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Flu vaccine is also offered by appointment at the Waushara County Health Department at 230 West Park Street in Wautoma on the following dates: Oct. 21, 23, 25, and 30 at 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursday, Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Medicare Part B and Medicaid pay for the flu shots. Bring all the insurance cards you take to your physician’s office with you.
For all other people desiring the flu shot, contact the Health Department for a cost of the vaccine. Waushara County Public Health also provides Pneumococcal vaccine, as available, to people 65 or older or those with chronic illness that puts them at greater risk for fatal pneumococcal infections including the new PCV13.
