Wild Rose Village Board sets Trick or Treating hours for Sunday, Oct. 28 from 3-5pm

Trick or Treating was set during the October 3 Wild Rose Village Board meeting.

Wild Rose’s trick or treating day and time has been traditionally running  in conjunction with Wautoma’s. It will be held from 3-5p.m. on Sunday October 28.

With the probable costs for the wastewater treatment facility, the Board will continue going forward with plans to make improvements.

The CMAR (Compliance Maintenance Annual Report) for 2017 was approved, having received a grade of B.

The Board stated it would continue moving forward on plans to pave a cul-de-sac on Rolling Ridge Court.

The subject of what to do with an old street and sewer truck (former rescue squad) come up. It was pointed out that it was no longer safe. Doug Jirik was advised to scrap it out.

Tara Anderson had spoken to the Board, asking if the members had thought about the idea of possibly having an ice skating rink in the Village, and how insurance would play into it. She was told that the Board had discussed the issue, will continue discussing it, and see if there could be a suitable place in the Village for one. 

Erin Tracy from Weyauwega introduced herself to the Board, noting that she’d be running in the November election.

A street closure request from Slugger’s to once again hold an auction on Front Street on October 6 was officially approved.

Village clerk Michelle Klapoetke reported on having attended a required municipal court training session in Stevens Point.

The fire report included the news that air packs will be ordered.

An operator’s license was approved for Josh Luce for at the Wild Rose Liquor Store. The next regular Board meeting will take place at 7p.m. on Wednesday, November 7.
