Wautoma School District to launch new web site & mobile app

The Wautoma Area School District Board of Education announced on June 10 during their monthly Board meeting that they will be launching a new website sometime next week and a mobile app on Monday, July 1.

The new mobile app is part of the school district’s 2025 initiative to increase their branding throughout the community. The current website isn’t as user friendly as it could be, and with the new website and app, information can be easily obtained. The Board plans to have a booth at the Waushara County Fair this year to help community members download the app and explain its features.

Some of the features in the app will include: a Live Feed, where WASD’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts will be linked; an Events page; a News category for longer posts or articles; Dining section for breakfasts and lunch menus; a Staff Directory where you can email and call the teacher just by clicking on their email address or phone number; the Athletics section will be a favorite, since game scores will be updated live, so people can check the score from home; Documents will include the board meeting agendas and other important information; About Us will contain links to Infinite Campus and other helpful materials; Notifications will be an option parents can sign up for so that they can be reminded of important events coming up at their child’s school, such as parent teacher conferences. The website will be redesigned to mirror the layout of the mobile app, and the Board is excited to see what the community will think of their new mode of communication.

District Administrator Tom Rheinheimer had a few updates to give the Board. He and a few others went to Redgranite Elementary School to decide where to place the Redgranite rocks they were given. Patterns were discussed to determine the best placement of the rocks to ensure the safety of the children. Redgranite will also have four or five crosswalks marked on the streets around the school to ensure the safety of the children.
