Wautoma School Board decides to keep private bus transportation services

At the March 11 Wautoma Area School Board meeting at Redgranite Elementary School, Redgranite, the Board of Education decided to continue their private bus transportation services.

Earlier this year, the school board received two replies to the Request For Proposal’s that were sent out to various bus transportation services. When the bids came back, the numbers were higher than many of the board members anticipated. District Administrator Tom Rheinheimer suggested to the board to continue as is with their transportation services privately owned by the district and the  board agreed.

Rheinheimer noted that he appreciated the Board for all the hard work they have done with making sure the Wautoma area has great transportation services. Board President Ross Peterson added that there has never been a complaint about the transportation services, and that is in part due to the drivers.

Parkside Assistant Princ-ipal Michael Klieforth announced that for the first time Parkside will be having a musical. The students have been working diligently, and on Friday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center, Wautoma, the community can see the end result of all that hard work.
