Scott Blader announces candidacy for second Waushara County Circuit Court judge

Scott Blader, Wautoma, has announced his candidacy for the newly-created judicial position in the Waushara County Circuit Court Branch 2.  The new position was one of twelve created by the State of Wisconsin to address increased need among circuit courts across the State. The second judge is an elected position and will begin serving in the county with Judge Dutcher following the April 5, 2022 election.

 

Blader was raised on a dairy farm south of Wautoma and graduated from Wautoma High School.  As an attorney, he was in private practice in the City of Wautoma for seven years and later served as Waushara County’s District Attorney from 2007 to 2017.  In 2015, he was honored to be selected as Wisconsin State Prosecutor of the year.   

Between 2017 and 2021, he served as United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin where he was responsible for overseeing all criminal and civil litigation involving the United States government arising in the western 44 counties of Wisconsin.

Throughout his career, he has handled thousands of cases and tried scores to a jury.  He understands the people and communities of Waushara County and has the experience and expertise to meet their needs.
