Locations and schedule announced for upcoming Waushara County Board of Supervisors meetings
Waushara County Ad-ministrator Bob Sivick announced this Summer the Waushara County Board of Supervisors will be “on the road” for its regularly scheduled meetings. The meeting schedule and locations are: July 17 – Operating Engineers Training Center, W11584 Hwy. 21, Coloma; Aug. 21 – Leon Town Hall, N4819 Cty. Rd. E, Pine River; Sept. 18 – Marion Town Hall, N1279 Cty. Rd. Z, Wautoma. All meetings are scheduled to begin at 7 pm. For the July meeting, a tour of the Operating Engineers Training Center will be offered to Supervisors and members of the public beginning at 6 pm. For the August meeting, a bus tour of sites illustrating land conservation practices will begin at 4:30 pm for Supervisors and members of the public. Further details on both tours will be available on the County’s website – www.co.waushara.wi.us. Sivick playfully referred to the above schedule as the “Wausharapalooza” tour. Sivick explained, “During my travels throughout the county, I’ve spoken to people living in the far eastern and western areas and been told they sometimes feel detached from their county government. Some of that is due to county operations being concentrated in the county seat, Wautoma by necessity. However, some of it can be attributed to officials like myself not making a sufficient effort to connect with all residents.” Sivick further stated this summer’s tour will become an annual event with the goal of supervisors eventually meeting in every town as well as various private facilities. Sivick invited anyone with questions or suggestions to contact him at (920) 787-0431 or email@example.com.
