Coloma Village Board gives update on USDA Grant for incubator site

At the Coloma Village Board meeting held on Dec. 20, an update on the USDA Grant for the incubator site was given. The Village took possession of the building on Dec. 10 after an inspection of the building. The Board made a motion for to accept the bid of Arnie’s Shingles and roofing for the new site. Items will be purchased by the roofing company this winter to allow for better pricing. The Board approved the purchase of the supplies.

Arden Bandt commented that the Village had received a phone call from the Waushara County looking for people to hire for the Coloma Collection Site. The applications can be picked up at the village office.

The Village of Coloma received a $2,500 tree grant from the DNR. This amount will be matched by the village and will allow for tree planting in selected locations around the community.

The Fireman’s Tribute run will be on Saturday, July 27 this year and will end at the Coloma Park. Several events are being planned in conjunction with the celebration.

The next village board meeting will be on Thursday, Jan. 31st at 6:30 p.m.
