Wild Rose School Board approves Wisconsin Dells Senior Class trip

The Wild Rose School Board approved a senior class trip to Wisconsin Dells on April 17 during a Feb. 13 meeting.

Leave of absence requests were granted for Oren Butch Cox, Laura Sullivan-Nelsen, and Ben Eichmann. No action was deemed necessary for a request from Terry Muntner. She is to continue using sick days as it becomes necessary.

An early graduation request from Shannon Gonzales was approved by the Board for January of 2021.

Volunteer coaching re-quests were approved for: Paul Roemer and Colten Hansen for high school track; Jasmine Hanson for middle school track; Craig Ramczyk and Matt Wilbert for high school basketball.

Eighth grade graduation was set or June 1, 2020 at 7 p.m.

Board representation at eighth grade graduation will be Wayne Roemer, Chris Sorenson, and Sandie Anderson. Those being at the high school graduation will be Sandie Anderson, Sandy Rockwood, and Wayne Roemer.

A Memorandum of Under-standing between the Wild Rose School District and the Fox Valley Technical College for 2019-20 was discussed.

A middle school/high school report regarding a Lock Doors drill having taken place on Feb. 10 was reviewed and accepted.

A school calendar for the 2020-21 school year was considered and approved by the Board.

The first semester Achievement Gap Reduction Report was reviewed and accepted.

The second Friday count/enrollment for the current school year was presented and approved.

Staffing for the 2020-21 school year was discussed by the Board.

The gifts of $5,000 from L&L Enterprise of Waupaca, Inc. to go toward the Costa Rica trip, and $630 from the Wild Rose Kiwanis for the Music Department St. Louis Trip were accepted.

The next Board meeting will be held on Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m.
