Wild Rose School Board approved middle school track coaches

The Wild Rose School Board approved a few appointments during a Jan. 9 meeting.  Morgan Yeska, Zach Mixdorf, and Mikayla Mixdorf met with the Board’s approval to serve as volunteer middle school track coaches.

Leave of absence requests were granted for Cassie Huber and Jeff Murphy.

Clubs and organizations of the 2019-20 school year were formally approved by the Board.

The Board considered placing enrollment caps for open enrollment in the special education classes and programs. After District Administrator Craig Hayes’ presentation, it was decided that there would be caps put in place. No caps are needed for open enrollment in the regular education classes and programs.

The 2018-19 district audit report was accepted after being reviewed.

An educational options notice for children who reside within the Wild Rose School District was reviewed by the Board.

The district safety plan was reviewed, with no changes being recommended.

The Board accepted a $999 gift of a 4-channel Pioneer DJ Controller for Seranto DJ Pro. for Mikayla Mixdorf’s music class.

As part of the elementary principal’s report, it was mentioned that the elementary spelling bee will take place on Thursday, Jan. 23, the 100th day of school celebration/Heroes Day will be Friday, Feb. 14, and the math and reading day/young author day will be Friday, Feb. 21.

The next regular Board meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13.
