Greg “Whitey” Pfaller Memorial Golf Outing to be held Sept. 16
At the Greg “Whitey” Pfaller Memorial Golf Outing attendees will have the opportunity to donate a small amount of money in exchange for a paper golf ball where they can write down the name of a loved one battling cancer to be displayed around Two Oaks North Golf Course.
If you want to support a local community member and the battle to end cancer, sign up for the four-person team scrambler on Sunday, Sept. 16 at Two Oaks North Golf Course, Wautoma. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. There will also be “In Honor of” signs available for purchase the day of the event to be displayed around the course. Purchase one and write your loved one’s name down to be shared with the community on this memorable day.
The cost of the event covers golf, ribs and chicken dinner buffet, hole events, and a cash prize awarded to the winning team. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and the shotgun start begins at 12 p.m.
Ryan Schlimgen, a senior in high school, La Crosse, created this event in honor of his uncle Greg, who passed away from cancer. Ryan is looking for business donations—such as gift cards and other items—to give away as prizes for the different event categories on Sept. 16.
